Job summary

IMEG is seeking a Structural Engineering Graduate - Designer 2 in Chicago, IL to assist experienced engineers and consultants in providing engineering solutions and advice to clients. This role supports engineering analysis, structural system design, and development of project documents.

You will support project budgets and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in building design consultancy is required.
• Develop proficiency in design techniques and engineering analysis.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned engineering tasks of low to moderate complexity.
• Assist design and analysis of structural systems using various materials.
• Create detailed designs, specs, and calculations per code and IMEG standards.
• Interact with clients to gather requirements and build relationships.
• Support project budgeting, scheduling, and team collaboration.
• Document design decisions and monitor progress.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on practical solutions.
• Participate in quality control processes and stay updated on trends.
