Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in El Segundo, CA (on-site) is offering a 10-week graduate intern position in Modeling and Simulation within CGAPD. You will contribute to analysis supporting space communication and ground architecture decisions.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in an MS/PhD program, with knowledge in modeling/simulation and programming in Python, C++, or MATLAB, and must be able to obtain US government clearance.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled full-time in an MS or PhD degree program from an accredited school.
• Availability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks and return to degree program after internship.
• Knowledge or coursework in modeling, simulation, or analysis in a relevant technical domain.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Aerospace staff to provide analysis driving recommendations for research, development, and acquisition decisions for legacy and future customer communication and ground architectures.
• Perform end-to-end performance evaluations and analysis-of-alternatives using in-house tools.
• Support development and sustainment of the organization’s modeling and simulation tools and capabilities.
• Develop and present timely and technically accurate presentations and reports to technical leads, management, and customers.
