Job summary

Texas A&M University-Commerce invites applications for Graduate Assistant Research (GAR) in Psychology & Special Education. The GAR assists with research, labs, teaching support, and data entry, and may prepare reports or support faculty as assigned.

The position requires up to 20 hours per week and Fall 2026–Spring 2027 GAR postings. Eligible to apply include admitted TAMU-Commerce graduate students and those meeting GPA and training prerequisites, including CITI training.

Qualifications

• Full or conditional admission to TAMU-Commerce graduate program.
• Minimum of six credit hours registration.
• Good academic standing.
• Completion of CITI training for Responsible Conduct in Research.

Responsibilities

• Aid in department research, labs, and teaching support.
• Assist faculty with research tasks, reports, data entry, and other duties.
• Maintain up to 20 hours of work per week for the GAR role.

Education

Full/Conditional Admission to TAMU-Commerce master, specialist or doctoral program

Minimum of six credit hours

Good academic standing

CITI Responsible Conduct in Research training completed
