Job summary

The University of Oklahoma in Norman, OK is seeking an administrative specialist to support the graduate programs within the School of Civil Engineering and Environmental Science. You will handle admissions, enrollment, scheduling, advising, and student records to ensure smooth graduate processes.

The role requires at least a high school diploma, one year of office experience, and strong Excel skills; familiarity with OU systems is a plus.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED.
12 months of office/clerical experience.
Familiarity with university systems (ONE, Course Leaf, DegreeNavigator, Canvas, Slate)
Advanced Excel skills with the ability to build and manipulate spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

Reviews graduate student applications.
Maintains graduate student database containing student progress, letters of recommendation, transcripts as needed.
Assists students by providing information pertaining to lectures, exams, financial aid, etc.
Collaborates with Student Services in matters concerning grades, transcripts, and student status.
Schedules Graduate Student Services Committee meetings and provides minutes.
Serves on Graduate Studies Committee.
Assists with course and program modifications related to online programs.
Prepares and maintains graduate program course schedules.
Assists with graduate program assessment.
Assists with payroll administration for graduate program instructors and TAs.
Other duties as assigned.
