Job summary

The position requires graduation from an accredited nursing program and authorization to test (ATT) with BLS within orientation. Duties include documenting care, ensuring patient safety, and collaborating with the care team.

Qualifications

• Unofficial transcript from an accredited school of nursing required to begin orientation.
• Completion of an accredited ASN/BSN with official transcript OR diploma AND ATT.
• BLS certification must be obtained within the orientation period.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care as assigned by charge nurse/preceptor.
• Ensure patient safety.
• Document delivery of care in the medical record and update plan of care as necessary.
• Perform and document disposal of hazardous pharmaceutical waste.
• Communicate patient and unit information to RN, Charge Nurse, Clinical Manager, Director, and other shifts.
• Perform and document secondary assessments on patients in Med/Surg, Progressive Care, Post-Acute, and Skilled Nursing units.
