Qualifications

• BLS certification must be obtained within the orientation period and kept current.
• Successful completion of a nursing program from an accredited school.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect patient care as assigned by charge nurse/preceptor.
• Documents delivery of patient care and updates the plan of care in the medical record.
• Ensures patient safety and adheres to care protocols.
• Communicates with RN, Charge Nurse, Clinical Manager, Director and other shifts using proper lines of communication.
• Performs secondary assessment on patients in Med/Surg, Progressive Care, Post-Acute, and Skilled Nursing as directed.
• Adheres to compliance standards and participates in professional growth.
