Job summary

Allegheny Health Network’s Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh seeks a registered nurse for the 7A Neurovascular Telemetry Unit. The role provides direct patient care on a 24-bed unit focusing on neurological and neurovascular conditions, including stroke and TIAs, with emphasis on nursing process and safety.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, perform assessments, care planning, and patient education, and participate in rotating weekends and holidays per policy.

Qualifications

• Current PA RN licensure in Pennsylvania or multi-state licensure via the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• CPR certification is required.
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate is required.
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate is required.
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Background Clearance Certificate is required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates clinical assessment skills and care planning.
• Provides safe and effective care for the age population served.
• Directs and manages the activities of the patient care delivery by the team.
• Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team for the plan of care from admission through discharge.
• Assesses learning needs of patient and family and provides education.
