Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking an RN Clinical Supervisor for the 7A Neurovascular Telemetry Unit at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. The role directs professional nursing care, oversees daily operations, and serves as a clinical expert and role model for staff.

Responsibilities include staffing oversight, quality and patient-satisfaction data, leadership and communication, and coordination of care using the nursing process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or relevant experience/education in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree.
• 3 years’ experience in a clinical specialty.
• Previous supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct and provide professional nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Oversee, monitor, and collect data related to quality and satisfaction measures.
• Serve as the clinical expert and role model for staff.
• Monitor and mentor staff performance, following up appropriately.
• Demonstrate effective leadership and communication skills.
• Enhance professional relationships to achieve desired outcomes.
• Utilize the nursing process to coordinate patient care plans.
• Assure appropriate staffing levels and mix to optimize operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.
