Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a Medical Education Program Specialist to direct administrative operations of accredited GME training programs. You will collaborate with Program Directors to ensure compliance with ACGME requirements while supporting residents and fellows’ education, professional growth, and operational needs.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or equivalent required or acceptable combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of related experience in medical education or GME preferred.
• Strong knowledge of graduate medical education processes and accreditation standards preferred.
• Excellent organizational and project management abilities with attention to detail.
• Proficient in data collection, interpretation, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee administrative operations of GME programs in partnership with Program Directors.
• Coordinate residency/fellowship activities including rotations, conferences, didactics, orientation, evaluations, and competency assessments.
• Develop and implement program policies, procedures, timelines, and priorities.
• Compile and present program data, metrics, and reports to support decision-making.
• Provide administrative support to program committees and educational leadership.
• Maintain trainee and faculty records, evaluations, and program documentation.
• Coordinate accreditation activities (APE, CLER, site visits, progress reports) and regulatory reporting.
• Monitor duty hours compliance and trainee documentation; communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Support remediation and performance improvement processes with Program Directors.
• Oversee graduation activities, alumni relations, and trainee engagement initiatives.
