Job summary

Geisinger Medical Center seeks a program administrator to manage accreditation, non-clinical operations, and financials for the Graduate Medical Education program. You will work with the Program Director to ensure compliance with national policies and lead long-range planning and recruitment efforts.

The role requires initiative, independent judgment, and collaboration with residency/fellow leadership to support residents and fellows throughout their training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher is not required; a high school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in education, administration, or accreditation.
• Strong understanding of national accreditation policies and program management.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leadership to ensure ongoing program accreditation.
• Oversee accreditation site visits, preparation, and execution.
• Serve as system administrator for residency/fellow data management, evaluations, and schedules.
• Develop and maintain systems to meet accreditation requirements and GME policies.
• Manage residency/fellow recruitment, interviews, and candidate selection via NRMP/CODA.
• Track budgets for programs and CME in line with Geisinger policies.
• Monitor residency and fellowship procedures and case logs.
• Proctor resident/fellow Intraining Examinations.
• Collaborate with GME network and relevant organizations.
• Coordinate with offices and clinics on education and clinical intersections.
• Assign and educate residents/fellows on technological initiatives.
• Contribute to policy formulation and communicate policies to residents/fellows.
• Act as liaison for residents/fellows, program leadership, and GME office.
• Own day-to-day activities of the residency/fellowship program and implement improvements.
