Job summary

Arup in San Francisco is seeking a Graduate Cost Advisory Consultant available in 2027 to join our cost advisory team. You will assist in developing construction cost estimates, risk models, and life-cycle analyses for infrastructure projects, collaborating with engineers and project stakeholders.

You will use tools like Excel, @Risk, and Primavera to support quantitative analyses, read design documents, and contribute to option assessments, benchmarking, and value engineering as part of a

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Economics, Business or Finance, or similar with coursework in Engineering, Economics, Business and/or applied math/sciences.
• Strong interest in built environment and infrastructure project development/delivery and/or operations.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Aid in the consultation of stakeholders on the delivery of infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with professionals to understand scope and impact of projects.
• Prepare analyses such as construction cost estimates, schedules, risk models, life cycle cost assessments, and value engineering.
• Develop high-level and detailed construction cost estimates using top-down and bottoms-up approaches.
• Read, analyze, and perform quantity take-offs of design documents and blueprints.
• Monitor market trends to understand their impact on project delivery.
• Develop reports and presentations to communicate findings to clients.
