Job summary

Arup in San Francisco seeks a recent civil engineering graduate to join our Civil Engineering team. You will help layout roads, drainage, and utilities using Civil 3D, and apply hydraulic modeling tools to design water systems and flood protection.

You’ll work across disciplines, support code research, prepare reports and calculations, and engage with clients to deliver sustainable outcomes. A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and CAD experience are required; strong communication and a

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
Sound knowledge of civil engineering fundamentals.
Experience with CAD software.
Good communication skills essential for team-based working.
Ability to perform in a deadline driven environment.

Excellent planning and organization skills for a fast-paced environment.
Must be highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges.

Responsibilities

Use Civil 3D to layout roads, drainage, utilities, site grading and earthwork designs.
Use hydraulic tools to analyze and design stormwater, sanitary, potable water systems, and flood protection.
Research and apply codes, specifications and standards for design.
Coordinate with other disciplines to deliver sustainable outcomes.
Support development of reports, calculation packages, and specifications.
