Job summary

Arup is seeking a Graduate Project Controls intern in Los Angeles to support financial review, scheduling, and invoicing for major infrastructure projects. You will liaise with design teams and senior managers to help deliver projects on time and within budget, gaining exposure to multiple disciplines and digital tools.

The role emphasizes hands-on experience with project controls, budgeting, reporting, and client invoicing, while offering opportunities to learn and grow within a global advisory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering or related field
• Proficient in Excel and MS Office
• Strong written, verbal, presentation and communication skills
• Adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Review, monitor and report project financial results and other performance parameters
• Prepare resource plans and schedules for projects
• Set up job codes and budgets, and monitor progress
• Collect timesheets for time-based jobs
• Track engineering progress information to assist EV analysis
• Prepare monthly client invoices
• Compile expense backup and assist with project expense invoices
• Track Sub-contractor costs, review invoices and monitor payments
• Log and track scope changes and assist in issuing change orders
