Arup in San Francisco is seeking a Graduate Sustainability Consultant to join our See it Differently early careers program. You will assist with building performance analyses, energy and decarbonization strategies, and sustainability reporting under senior guidance.

The role emphasizes design teamwork, field data, and communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Eligible candidates have a relevant master's and are ready to contribute to diverse projects.

Qualifications

• Master's degree related to sustainability in built environment.
• Knowledge of building energy systems and design.
• Experience with energy simulation software such as EnergyPlus or IES VE.

Responsibilities

• Support building performance analysis and lifecycle cost calculations.
• Participate in decarbonized energy system design and strategy.
• Develop thermal simulations for energy, carbon, and comfort.
• Assist senior staff in delivering sustainable design work.
• Prepare reports, visuals, and project deliverables for diverse audiences.
• Join design charrettes and workshops to enhance sustainable design.
