Job summary

ENGIE North America Inc. is seeking a BESS Engineer I through its Graduate Rotation Program in Renewables. You will support the development and preliminary engineering of grid-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems, contributing to early-stage system definition, site layout, and cross-functional project delivery.

The 24-month program includes a local immersion, an international assignment, and a consolidation phase to deepen expertise in HSE, Digital, and project management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Experience or internships in grid-scale BESS projects is a plus.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil3D for site layout concepts.
• Experience with GIS software, spatial datasets and coordinate systems.
• Knowledge of BESS sizing principles and development-stage design considerations.
• Ability to communicate complex technical topics to varied audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Support development and preliminary engineering of grid-scale BESS projects.
• Contribute to early-stage system definition and conceptual site layout.
• Provide technical support across the project lifecycle and across teams.
• Assist in managing small projects or workstreams with crossing disciplines.
