Job summary

James Hardie Building Products Inc. offers the Engineer Development Program (EDP), a two-year rotational training track for engineering graduates across manufacturing, R&D, and corporate settings in the U.S.

You will rotate through fiber cement and polymer composite processes, gain hands-on experience, and work with mentors and peers at Chicago HQ and facilities, with opportunities to join operations after the program and a compensation package including salary, benefits, and a bonus plan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering fields relevant to paper science, materials or manufacturing.
• Willingness to relocate to US manufacturing plants or R&D locations.
• Demonstrated leadership potential through co-ops, internships, campus activities or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a two-year rotational program across James Hardie’s U.S. manufacturing locations.
• Support manufacturing process design, reliability, operations, optimization and continuous improvement projects.
• After rotations, join an Operations role at North American James Hardie locations and contribute to plant operations.
