Halff in San Antonio, TX is seeking a new graduate Civil Engineer (Dec 2026 or May 2027) focused on Transportation Design for roadway and highway projects. You will design civil projects under a Professional Engineer, perform schematic design, and assist with permit documents, coordinating with surveyors and contractors.

• ABET-accredited Civil Engineering degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s).
• Within one year of graduation, able to obtain an EIT certificate.

Halff is seeking New Graduates who will graduate in December 2026 or May 2027 for a Graduate Civil Engineer in our San Antonio, TX location. The position will be for a General Civil Engineer interested in Transportation Design for roadway & highway design projects. What You Will Do

• Design civil engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer
• Perform schematic design work
• Perform calculations and analysis for design projects
• Assist in the preparation of permit applications and other regulatory documents
• Coordinate with other team members, including surveyors and contractors
• Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies

What You Will Need

• Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable Driving Record
• The ability to obtain an EIT Certificate within one (1) year
• Great communication skills
• Solid relationship and team building skills
• Self-motivated and strong organization skills
• 0 to 3 years of experience in Transportation Design for roadway & highway design projects
• Experience in MicroStation and/or OpenRoads Designer
• Knowledge of applicable roadway and drainage modules
