Job summary

TKDA is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to lead planning, design, and execution of complex industrial process systems for mining, minerals processing, and heavy facilities in Minnesota. You will develop process solutions to improve safety, reliability, and efficiency while guiding multidisciplinary teams.

The role emphasizes leadership in process design, piping and pumping systems, and client engagement, with a hybrid work model and travel to project sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of process design, hydraulics, bulk solids handling, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead process engineering for mining, mineral processing, aggregate, metals, and heavy industrial projects.
• Develop PFDs, P&IDs, mass and energy balances, and design criteria.
• Design and specify industrial process systems including piping, slurry transport, pumping, bulk solids handling.
• Perform hydraulic calculations, equipment sizing, process analyses, and system evaluations.
• Develop equipment specifications and procurement packages for pumps, conveyors, tanks, crushers, and related equipment.
• Identify bottlenecks and recommend safety, reliability, throughput improvements.
• Lead multidisciplinary projects as Lead Process Engineer; manage scope, budgets, and schedules.
• Coordinate with mechanical, structural, electrical, instrumentation, civil, and environmental groups.
• Mentor junior engineers; promote standards and continuous improvement.
