Job summary

Dashiell Corporation in Kentucky is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to join a project team and perform engineering and design duties under supervision, applying civil engineering principles to substation projects.

You will learn to apply standards such as NESC, IEEE, ANSI, AISC and ACI, work at job sites, travel as required, and develop practical design judgment while progressing toward Engineer in Training certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university is required, a power focus is preferred.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate or ability to obtain EIT certificate within one year of hire is required.
• Prior internship and/or related work experience in the power field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with a project team to create or modify civil and structural design documents and drawings for a project, under direct supervision.
• Perform engineering support tasks such as wind load calculations and structural analysis, with minimal supervision.
• Learn and apply engineering standards including NESC, IEEE, ANSI, AISC and ACI.
• Spend time at job sites to gain hands-on knowledge and additional training in substation construction and design.
