Job summary

Baird, Hampton & Brown is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer in Grapevine, TX. You will work with Professional Engineers and Designers to learn civil project workflows, perform design calculations, and prepare construction documents under a Project Manager's guidance.

The role emphasizes developing technical processes for civil drawings, client interaction, and gradual responsibility for project scopes as you gain experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Engineer in Training certification or ability to receive within one year.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial data to plan projects.
• Plan and design transportation or hydraulic systems and structures using design software.
• Analyze and produce designs for stormwater, sewer, pipelines, parking, sidewalks, and roads.
• Prepare site grading and utility plans, coordinate with municipal parties, and prepare permitting docs.
• Compute load, water flow rates, and material stress to determine design specs.
• Communicate project status with Project Manager, client, and others with reports and data.
