Baird, Hampton & Brown in Dallas, TX seeks a full-time Graduate Civil Engineer. This entry-level position trains on civil projects for municipal governments and private developments under a Project Manager.

You will learn technical processes to create civil drawings, work with Engineers-in-Training, and develop professional skills on the client side while preparing to manage full project scope.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited civil engineering degree required.
• Engineer in Training certification or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret survey data, maps, and drawings for project planning.
• Plan and design transportation or hydraulic systems using design software.
• Analyze and prepare designs for stormwater, sewer, pipelines, parking, sidewalks, and roadways.
• Prepare site grading and utility plans; coordinate with municipal parties; produce construction documents.
• Compute load, water flow, and material stress to determine design specs.
• Communicate project status with Project Manager, clients, and other stakeholders.
