Job summary

Halff is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer for our Land Development team in the Tavares, FL office. This role offers career development and potential for growth within Halff, with a focus on land development design. New graduates are encouraged to apply and progress toward ownership in the firm.

The position involves assisting in planning, design, permit filings, and collaboration with surveyors and contractors under a Professional Engineer's supervision in a dynamic team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent degree.
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to obtain EIT certificate within one year of start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and design of Land Development projects under supervision of a Professional Engineer.
• Perform schematic design work, calculations and analysis for design projects.
• Assist in the preparation of permit applications and other regulatory documents.
• Coordinate with team members, surveyors and contractors.
• Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies.
