Benedictine University is seeking a Graduate Assistant in Strength & Conditioning at the Lisle Campus. You will develop strength, endurance, flexibility and agility for athletes while coordinating with athletic training staff.
The role requires involvement in creating year-round sport-specific programs and supervising weight room activities. A graduate program admission and relevant certifications are required.

Job Title: Graduate Assistant - Strength and Conditioning
Reports to: Assistant Director ofAthletics – Sports Medicine & Performance
Location:Lisle Campus
Rate: Stipend amount up to $7,200 based on startthe assigned period
Position Summary: This position willwork with specific sports as assigned by the Assistant Director ofAthletics – Sports Medicine & Performance to develop the physical strength, endurance,flexibility and agility of athletes. Additional responsibilities will includedesigning a program customized to each sport's specific needs, as well as coordinationand cooperation with athletic training staff.
Education: High School Graduate/GED Required, and a bachelor’s degree ispreferred. The individual must be successfully admitted to a graduate program of study at Benedictine University and maintain good academic standingthroughout the program.
Qualifications: Applicant must obtain acceptance into aBenedictine Graduate program of Master of Business Administration, Master ofScience in Business Analytics, Master of Science in Management &Organizational Behavior or Master of Public Health.
Specific Skills: Knowledge of NCAA DivisionIII philosophy, recruitment, rules and regulations. Organizational skills, writing and typing skills, interpersonal skills, data entry and budgetmanagement skills and demonstrated supervisory skills.
Specific Knowledge, Licenses, Certifications: Valid driver’s license and CPR/First Aid/AED certification with the first 90-days of being hired. Certification in Strength & Conditioning (NCSA or CSCS) oreducational background that will prepare individual for certification.
Physical Requirements: May be required to lift up to 50 lbs. Mustreach, bend, stoop, lift. Must sit, walk or stand for long periods of time.Ability to handle varying levels of stress while maintaining professionaldemeanor. Possible lifting, bending, walking, kneeling, stretching, andstooping. Frequent districtwide and statewide travel; frequent prolonged andirregular hours; outdoor exposure to sun/heat or cold weather.
Ability to speak clearly so listeners canunderstand. Understand the speech of another person.
