Job summary

Seattle University is seeking a Graduate Admissions Counselor to recruit applicants for its graduate programs. The role involves daily outreach, events, and communications, guiding prospective students from inquiry to enrollment under the Director of Graduate Admissions and Recruitment.

The counselor will maintain program portfolio expertise, collaborate with graduate offices, and help meet enrollment goals through proactive outreach and thoughtful guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience in sales/recruiting or a related field.
• Commitment to outstanding customer service and lifelong education.
• Demonstrated skill in supporting diverse student populations and intercultural communication.
• Ability to embrace change with technology, processes, and procedures.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Commitment to antiracist workplace and collaboration across departments.
• Experience with MS Office 365 including Excel.
• Experience serving adult and professional students.

Responsibilities

• Proactively manage an active portfolio of prospective graduate programs and provide professional service to achieve enrollment targets.
• Support students through the full admissions cycle from inquiry to enrollment.
• Attend recruitment events in evenings and weekends in the local and Pacific Northwest region.
• Develop and organize high-quality recruitment events and activities to engage future students.
• Track applicants through the funnel and monitor key KPIs related to recruitment and yield.
