Job summary

Seattle University seeks an International Transfer Admissions Counselor to join its undergraduate admissions team. You will advise prospective transfer and international students, support outreach, and coordinate I-20 issuance in collaboration with the International Student and Scholar Center.

The role includes substantial travel in-state and out-of-state, evening and weekend work, and a hybrid work arrangement after onboarding, contributing to a diverse, inclusive campus community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (4-year) in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 1 year of professional work experience.
• Well-developed organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Confidence in public speaking to both large and small groups.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel and work evenings and weekends as necessary.
• Valid driver's license.
• Experience with international education or work.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment Management – travel, outreach to international centers, events, and collaboration with campus stakeholders to meet undergraduate enrollment goals.
• Application Review and Recommendations – evaluate applicants based on criteria and standards.
• International Transfer Admissions – monitor materials for I-20 issuance, issue initial I-20s as DSOs, coordinate with International Student Center.
• Event Attendance – participate in admission events, evenings and weekends as needed.
• Other Duties – manage projects and support international admissions activities.
