Job summary

The University of Utah is seeking a Graduate Admissions Evaluator to join the Office of Admissions. You will evaluate graduate applications, verify minimum requirements, and enter data into our databases, working with departments, applicants, and campus partners to streamline the process.

Responsibilities include reviewing transcripts and credentials, handling inquiries by email and phone, and ensuring accurate and confidential data entry.

Qualifications

• Three years of general office experience or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience), one of which in an academic setting; and demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills required.
• College coursework in a related area is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in evaluating international and domestic graduate applications.
• Evaluate academic transcripts, test scores, and other domestic and international credentials.
• Monitor students’ academic files to ensure information is complete and updated by filling in information and changing records when applicable.
• Respond to emails related to international and domestic graduate admissions.
• Provide customer service at our office windows and via phone calls as it relates to international and domestic graduate admissions.
• Process credentials related to international and domestic graduate admissions.
• Other duties as assigned; May be cross-trained in other areas of the office.
