Job summary

Fred Smith Company in Raleigh, NC is seeking an experienced Grade Foreman for on-site management of crews on civil site work projects, including grading, water/sewer/storm drain construction, and asphalt paving. Responsibilities include safety leadership, daily logs, and coordination with engineers and inspectors.

The role requires at least 2 years as a foreman, a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Foreman.
• Experience with grading and site work operations, water/sewer/storm drain construction, asphalt paving.
• Valid driver's license with positive driving history
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the safe and efficient management of the crew and equipment on all assigned projects.
• Maintain logs, daily reports and ensure time records are entered daily.
• Ensure personnel and sub-contractors comply with safety policies and procedures.
• Lead daily JSA meetings with project teams and conduct weekly Toolbox Talks.
• Assist and direct crews in the use of equipment and resources.
• Manage quality of work, productivity and project costs.
• Maintain good relations with the public, engineers, inspectors and customers.
