Job summary

Walbec Group is seeking a Grading Foreman in Wisconsin to supervise grading crews, schedule labor, and manage equipment needs. The role requires strong planning and adherence to safety and quality standards.

You will read plans, coordinate with field teams, and support continuous improvement while adapting to varied hours and weather conditions typical of construction sites. Union membership is considered an asset.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
  • CDL is required.
  • Punctual, dependable with high ethical standards.
  • Self-directed and able to manage multiple changing priorities.
  • Willing to become union member or already a member; HR can assist.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with efficient personnel scheduling and crew management.
  • Oversee grading equipment needs and repair; ensure readiness for operations.
  • Support continuous quality improvement across grading operations.
  • Read and interpret plans/specifications to establish grades per plan.
  • Work varied hours including nights, early mornings, and weekends as needed.
