Walbec Group is seeking an Operator to join the Grading department in the Midwest. Under the Foreman, you will operate several grading machines, ensuring safety and efficiency on commercial and industrial sites.

Responsibilities include moving materials, reading grade stakes, and performing routine maintenance. The role requires flexibility for varied hours and adherence to safety protocols in a union-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read grade stakes and operate grading equipment.
• Commitment to safety and incident reporting procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate grading construction equipment safely and efficiently.
• Move materials and prepare sites for road construction.
• Read grade stakes and machine displays to achieve required grades.
• Maneuver machinery in tight spaces around workers and utilities.
• Maintain and secure equipment and report incidents as required.
• Assist with basic equipment repairs when needed.
