Job summary

Heritage Auctions in Dallas, TX seeks an experienced currency professional to assess consignments, research valuations, and assist with authentication and cataloguing for auction production.

Responsibilities include grading US currency, estimating values, and supporting condition reporting in a fast-paced team. A minimum of 5+ years in currency or auction house work is preferred, with strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and excellent customer service.

SUMMARY:

Responsible for assessment of incoming consignments and purchases, as well as active roles in auction production and research.

LOCATION:

South of Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport,NW corner of W. Airport Freeway (Hwy. 183) and Valley View Lane

COMPENSATION:

Commensurate based on experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Grade US currency
• Research and estimate value of currency
• Assist with authentications, cataloguing, essays, and condition reporting as needed
• Other duties may be assigned

Requirements

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• 5+ years of experience as a commercial dealer and/or auction house working environment with focus in currency a plus.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Proficiency in Microsoft applications, specifically Word and Excel
• Ability to multitask and pay great attention to detail
• Must have a positive attitude with exceptional customer service skills

PHYSICAL & MENTAL DEMANDS:

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to withstand long periods of sitting, looking at a computer monitor, and phone handling for approximately 8-12 hours on a daily basis.
