Job summary

Homewood Living Frederick is seeking a part-time Food Service Aide to deliver meals to residents and guests in a restaurant-style dining setting. You will help prepare and present meals, ensuring a high-quality dining experience.

The role requires lifting up to 25 pounds, standing for long periods, and maintaining confidentiality. Benefits include PTO, tuition reimbursement, health insurance, retirement contributions, and licensure reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Food service experience preferred.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and printed instructions.
• High degree of personal hygiene and cleanliness.
• Ability to push tray carts and lift at least 25 pounds during an eight hour shift.
• Ability to stand and walk during an eight hour shift.
• Must treat residents and the public with kindness and respect.
• Ability to use the point of service system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food to residents and guests in a restaurant-style setting.
• Assist with meal tray preparation by placing condiments, silverware, food, beverages and special items on trays.
• Set dining tables with linens, decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates and utensils.
• Wait on tables in a restaurant-style manner using proper serving etiquette.
• Create a positive restaurant-style environment for residents and guests.
• Assist with meal preparation.
• Deliver tray carts and nourishment to nursing areas/floors.
• Maintain daily cleaning and sanitation of dishes, utensils, equipment and work areas.
• Assist with special food functions (banquets, teas, etc.).
• Perform other duties as directed by the supervisor.
