Job summary

Moss & Associates (Construction) seeks a Pile Drive/GPS Technician to support accurate and safe pile installation on solar projects. You will operate and calibrate GPS pile-driving systems, verify locations and elevations, and collaborate with crews and vendors to resolve field issues.

The role requires independent work in active construction environments, strong communication, and significant travel to project sites. Relevant GPS, GNSS, and machine-control experience is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree, technical training, or related coursework preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of construction industry experience preferred.
• Experience with GPS, GNSS, machine-control, survey, layout, or construction technology systems required.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, site layouts, grade plans, staking information, and project specifications.
• Basic computer skills: Outlook, Word, Excel.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to travel to jobsites and stay overnight.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot GPS-guided pile-driving equipment and related field tech.
• Verify pile locations, elevations, alignment, and data against plans and specs.
• Provide accurate layout and production information to pile-driving crews.
• Perform routine inspections and basic repairs on GPS equipment and related tech.
• Respond to jobsite requests involving GPS, machine-control, layout, or pile-installation issues.
• Communicate with project management and vendors to troubleshoot issues.
• Upload/download and maintain project files, GPS data, and reports.
• Ensure equipment and GPS systems are safe and ready for use.
• Complete electronic work orders, daily reports, and documentation on time.
• Coordinate with teams to resolve layout/elevation discrepancies.
