Job summary

Staker Parson Companies, a CRH company, is seeking a Heavy Road Construction Equipment Operator to support highway and civil projects. You will operate multiple types of heavy equipment, perform grading and earthmoving, read blueprints, and ensure site safety and quality.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of heavy equipment experience, valid driver's license, and familiarity with GPS controls. OSHA and DOT safety standards apply; travel to job sites is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of heavy equipment operating experience in road construction or related fields.
• Experience operating one or more types of heavy construction equipment with proficiency.
• Experience working around underground utilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy construction equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., graders, excavators, dozers, loaders).
• Perform grading, excavation, earthmoving, roadway construction and site preparation.
• Read grade stakes, site plans, blueprints, and GPS machine control systems.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete equipment reports.
• Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance or safety issues.
• Travel between job sites as required; maintain clean equipment and work areas.
