Job summary

Staker Parson Companies, a CRH Company, is seeking an Equipment Operator in Smithfield, UT. The role focuses on operating heavy construction equipment to perform excavation, grading, and roadway work while meeting safety and production goals.

Ideal candidates will have construction equipment experience, the ability to read basic plans, and strong safety awareness. CDL is preferred. Overtime and outdoor work are common on our sites.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy construction equipment such as loaders, excavators, dozers, graders, haul trucks, rollers, and skid steers.
• Ability to read and understand basic construction plans and grades.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment to perform excavation, grading, material handling, and roadway construction.
• Follow grade stakes, project plans, and supervisor instructions to meet specifications.
• Conduct daily pre- and post-trip equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Load/transport materials safely and efficiently and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Collaborate with supervisors, drivers, laborers, and other operators to reach production goals.
• Adhere to all safety policies, environmental requirements, and regulatory standards.
