Job summary

Staker Parson Companies, a CRH company, is seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to safely operate loaders, excavators, dozers and other heavy equipment on road and site projects in Virginia. You will perform excavation, grading, stockpiling, and site prep while meeting safety and quality standards.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, experience with heavy equipment, ability to read plans, good teamwork and communication, and a valid driver’s license (CDL preferred).

Qualifications

• Experience operating loaders, excavators, dozers, graders, and other heavy equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret basic construction plans.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment to perform excavation, grading, material handling, and roadway construction.
• Load and transport materials safely and efficiently.
• Follow grade stakes and project plans to meet specifications.
• Conduct daily pre- and post-trip equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area around equipment and job sites.
• Collaborate with supervisors, drivers, laborers, and other operators to meet production goals.
• Adhere to all safety policies, environmental requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
