Job summary

Genesys seeks a Director of Sales for the East region, leading state and local government software sales in a dynamic, cloud-based environment. You will shape regional strategy, guide a high-performing team, and drive complex enterprise deals from strategy through close to deliver measurable public sector impact.

You will nurture executive relationships, coordinate with cross-functional leaders, and capitalize on CCaaS and AI opportunities to expand platform adoption.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of sales management experience in cloud or SaaS environments.
• Proven track record leading high-performing teams and exceeding quotas.
• Experience managing complex enterprise sales cycles and engaging executives.
• Public sector sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale a high-performing regional sales team to exceed revenue targets.
• Develop and execute regional sales strategies to expand market share and accelerate platform adoption.
• Own accurate forecasting and pipeline management for predictable revenue.
• Partner with senior executives and cross-functional teams to align strategy and deliver outcomes.
• Drive enterprise sales cycles from strategy to close.
• Build executive relationships with government agencies to influence partnerships.
• Coach and mentor sales professionals to elevate performance.
• Identify opportunities in CCaaS, digital engagement, and AI to position Genesys as an innovator.
