Job summary

RESPEC is seeking a Project Manager to join our team in support of a high-profile New Mexico state government client. You will lead two certified technology initiatives—the GenKFI Replacement and the AAMVA Service Cutover—modernizing core financial interfaces and migrating MVD systems to national messaging protocols.

This role requires coordinating schedules, risks, and stakeholders, guiding go-live events, and ensuring compliance with REAL ID standards and government governance frameworks while

Qualifications

• Several years of experience managing technology projects from initiation through completion.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing complex schedules.
• Familiarity with formal government project governance and documentation standards.
• Active PMP or equivalent project management certification.
• Experience with system migrations or cutovers to modern cloud services or web-based messaging protocols.
• Familiarity with AAMVA standards and REAL ID compliance.

Responsibilities

• Drive day-to-day progress by coordinating project schedules, milestones, and high-stakes deliverables; facilitate communication among technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders; maintain comprehensive project plans and risk escalation.
• Manage transition and cutover activities, testing phases, migration schedules, and go-live readiness reviews; serve as central coordinator during go-live events.
• Ensure alignment on project goals and maintain rigorous documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Education

PMP or equivalent project management certification
