Job summary

RESPEC is seeking a Project Manager III to lead complex IT and business-transformation initiatives for the Texas Department of Public Safety. You will guide cross-functional teams, vendors, and executives through scope, schedule, budgets, and governance to deliver large-scale programs.

In this hybrid role based in Austin, TX, you’ll drive risk management, change control, and clear executive communications while coordinating with DPS policies and procurement requirements.

Qualifications

• 8+ years managing large-scale IT or business-transformation projects.
• PMI/PMBOK, Agile, Hybrid frameworks experience.
• Scheduling, budgeting, resource planning, and delivery documentation.
• Stakeholder management across senior leadership.
• Risk management, issue tracking, change-control processes.
• Clear executive communications (written and verbal).
• Proficiency with MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira.

Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle for large IT and business-transformation projects with defined scope, milestones, budgets.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, vendors, and client stakeholders to align objectives.
• Produce executive-ready reports, governance materials, and change-control documentation.
• Manage scope changes through formal change-control and DPS policies.
• Support vendor-performance oversight and project closeout activities.
