Qualifications

• Approximately 10 years of public accounting experience.
• Minimum 2 years in a senior manager position with government exposure.
• Specialization in State and Local Government auditing.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• Holds a current CPA license.
• Ability to travel to client and firm locations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain client relationships throughout the year and oversee engagement workflow.
• Lead engagements as engagement partner or report to the partner as required.
• Sign attest opinions when acting as engagement partner.
• Oversee all phases of engagement reporting and ensure compliance with framework and firm policy.
• Communicate important developments to the engagement partner and address issues.
• Schedule engagements and allocate staffing accordingly.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in government sector.
• Oversee billing and collection per firm policy.
• Supervise staff and provide on‑the‑job training; review work papers.
• Participate in staff performance evaluations and counseling.
• Recruit staff and interview Assurance/Advisory candidates.
• Develop new business and attend prospective client meetings.
• Represent the firm in business development and client referrals.
