The Recruiting Hive seeks an Audit Director with a strong State and Local Government specialization to drive engagements for government-focused audits. This senior leader will liaise with partners, clients, and staff, directing multiple engagements, staff training, and business development initiatives.

Qualifications

• Approx. 10+ years in public accounting with leadership experience.
• Minimum 2 years in a senior manager role in government-focused audits.
• Experience auditing state and local governments (cities, counties, districts, charter schools).

Responsabilités

• Maintain ongoing client contact and understand client operations and controls.
• Engagement partner role or report to engagement partner on engagements.
• Sign attest opinions as engagement partner when assigned.
• Oversee all phases of engagements and ensure delivery complies with accounting framework and policy.
• Identify issues and communicate with partner; implement solutions.
• Schedule engagements and manage workflow; staff appropriately; train staff.
• Serve as SME for governmental sector and assist business development.
• Prepare fee estimates and participate in client meetings; develop client networks.
