Job summary

The Recruiting Hive is seeking an Audit Director with a State and Local Government specialization for a fast-track path to partnership in a hybrid San Francisco environment. The role partners with clients and staff to manage multiple engagements, develop staff, and drive new business while maintaining work-life balance.

Responsibilities include overseeing engagements, ensuring GAAS and GAGAS compliance, leading staff, and mentoring teams, with travel as needed to client sites.

Qualifications

• Approximately 10 years in public accounting with relevant government sector experience.
• CPA license required.
• Willingness to travel to client and firm locations.
• Experience leading audits under GAGAS/Yellow Book and GAAS.
• Proven ability to develop staff and win new business.

Responsibilities

• Maintains client relationships and oversees multiple engagements.
• Reports to engagement partner and signs attestations as needed.
• Oversees engagement workflow and ensures deliverables meet standards.
• Mentors staff and provides on-the-job training.
• Leads business development and client communications.
