Job summary

Ernst & Young LLP’s Government and Infrastructure practice seeks a Staff (technical writer) to strengthen program management documentation across government engagements. You will draft, edit and format policies, SOPs and executive briefing materials for DHS-aligned deliverables.

You’ll collaborate with cross‑functional teams, ensure rigorous version control, develop process diagrams and support responses to audits and data calls. Travel ~30% federal, ~80% state/local/education as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, engineering or related business field plus at least two years of consulting or relevant industry experience.
• At least one year of experience leading engagement teams.
• Knowledge and experience in process improvement, stakeholder engagement, performance management and metrics development.
• Experience with PM software such as Microsoft Project or Oracle Primavera and with Microsoft SharePoint.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance; travel approximately 30% federally and 80% for state/local/education roles.

Responsibilities

• Contributing to and leading collaborative teams across dynamic client engagements.
• Delivering high-quality program management and documentation support to government clients.
• Drafting, editing and formatting policies, directives, SOPs and implementation guidance.
• Developing briefing decks, talking points and executive correspondence for leadership review.
• Managing complex, cross-branch reviews and maintaining rigorous version control and formatting standards.
• Creating process documentation and operational workflow diagrams.
