Job summary

Steampunk, Inc. seeks a Disruption Designer to guide government clients through our Design Intelligence framework, focusing on people impacted by transformation and change.

You will engage stakeholders to embrace new ways of working while identifying resistance and mitigating risks. Responsibilities include discovery, workshops, synthesis of research into actionable personas and training plans, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in an agile setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain a U.S. government Public Trust Security Clearance.
• 4+ years of experience in change management and knowledge of change management best practices and models.
• Experience in current state assessments, future state visioning and communication planning.
• Experience conducting user and stakeholder interviews and synthesizing data into personas, action and training plans.
• Curiosity for solving problems with strong analytical skills.
• Collaborative, with excellent written communication and presentation skills.
• Experience working in a project-based environment.
• Degree, equivalent experience, and/or certification in change management.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all aspects of discovery to understand client mission, goals, stakeholders and ecosystems.
• Conduct workshops and interviews to frame pain points and opportunities and determine change readiness and resistance areas.
• Synthesize research and craft stories and presentations to communicate insights and recommendations.
• Develop and deploy communication plans, pilot plans and training plans with stakeholders and customers.
• Develop, deploy and measure change management plans for organizational and workflow improvements.
• Create, deploy and measure KPIs for transformation and adoption.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment to communicate needs.
• Ensure integration of change management with technology considerations and constraints.
• Ensure all deliverables across projects are produced at the highest quality.
