Job summary

EY is seeking a Manager in Government Contract Services (GCS) to lead and support client engagements across the government contracting lifecycle. You will manage workstreams, oversee teams, and analyze financial data to deliver practical, compliant recommendations for clients navigating U.S.

Government contracts and grants. This role emphasizes strong communication, client collaboration, and deep regulatory knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, law, finance, business or related field.
• 5 to 8 years’ relevant work experience.
• Professional designation such as CPA, CFE, CFA.
• Knowledge of FAR, CAS, DFARS, 2 CFR 200 and related wage laws.
• Ability to assess and apply government acquisition, assistance awards, and labor standards regulations.
• Experience in a client-facing environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Ability to manage engagement teams 2–10 resources.
• Excellent project and time management, prioritizing multiple engagements.
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
• Willingness to travel and work beyond standard hours.
• Reliable transportation; driver’s license recommended.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support client engagements throughout the government contracting lifecycle.
• Manage workstreams, supervise team members, analyze financial and operational data.
• Develop practical recommendations for clients under U.S. Government contract and grant requirements.
• Help clients assess compliance risks and respond to government audits.
• Strengthen business systems and controls; improve cost accounting structures.
• Contribute to proposals, thought leadership, and practice development.
