Univest is seeking a Government Banking Relationship Manager to grow and support municipal and public sector relationships across the markets we serve. You’ll connect government clients with tailored financial solutions and collaborate with internal teams to meet client needs.

The role emphasizes relationship-building, business development and public funds banking knowledge, with travel to client meetings and events across Univest’s footprint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics or related field.
• 5+ years in government/public funds banking, commercial banking or financial services.
• Proven ability to grow deposits, manage client relationships and meet sales goals.
• Knowledge of public funds banking requirements incl. collateralization, pledging and Act 72 compliance.
• Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills with government officials.
• Ability to manage multiple client relationships, RFPs and pipeline simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Build, develop and manage relationships with government and public sector clients (municipalities, counties, authorities, school districts).
• Grow deposits, expand client relationships and support sales and cross-sell goals.
• Identify new business opportunities via prospecting, networking and community involvement.
• Partner with Treasury Management, Credit, Operations and internal teams to deliver client solutions.
• Support RFP opportunities by gathering insights and aligning solutions with client goals.
• Maintain an organized sales pipeline and update opportunities in Salesforce.
• Represent Univest at government, industry and community events to strengthen relationships.
