Qualifications

• Approximately 10 years in public accounting with 2+ years in a senior manager role.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field and CPA license.
• Ability to travel to client and firm locations.
• Proven ability to bring in new business to a CPA Firm.
• Significant experience conducting audits under GAGAS/Yellow Book and GAAS.

Responsibilities

• Maintains contact with clients and understands client operations and control systems.
• Leads engagements or reports to the engagement partner per firm policy.
• Signs attest opinions as a representative of the firm when assigned as engagement partner.
• Oversees all phases of engagements and ensures deliverables comply with governing frameworks and firm policy.
• Keeps the engagement Partner apprised of important developments and resolves issues with partner input.
• Ensures engagements are properly scheduled and staffed.
• Acts as subject matter expert for governmental sector engagements.
• Reviews work papers and coaches staff in accordance with firm policy.
• Contributes to business development and client meetings; builds a network for new opportunities.
• Leads initial client communications, fee estimates, and meetings with prospective clients.
