Job summary

The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) is seeking a Senior Manager to lead high-impact research and advocacy content shaping corporate governance globally. You will turn complex issues into credible reports and policy analyses for boards, regulators, and executives.

This hybrid Washington, DC role combines research, writing, strategy, and stakeholder engagement, with travel to global headquarters as needed. You will guide priorities and communicate insights to diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Accounting, Auditing, Business, Communications, Public Policy, or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience in internal audit, governance, research, policy, or advocacy.
• Demonstrated experience conducting research and developing high-quality content.
• Strong writing and editorial capabilities for reports, analyses, and executive content.
• Ability to translate complex information for executive and nontechnical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-impact research and thought leadership to inform governance discussions.
• Develop reports, policy analyses, issue briefs, letters, and executive presentations.
• Engage stakeholders to inform priorities and ensure accuracy and credibility of content.
• Advance research on AI governance, risk, controls, and related topics for boards and regulators.
• Present findings and influence audiences including boards, regulators, and policymakers.
