Job summary

AET Federal Inc in Tysons, VA is seeking a Proposal Coordinator/Writer to join our team in a full-time, on-site capacity. The role focuses on proposal development, coordination, compliance, and submission support for federal and commercial solicitations, including RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs.

The position emphasizes writing, editing, templates, and content libraries within a small-team setting, with regular collaboration with leadership and subject matter experts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher required.
• U.S. Citizenship required (No Sponsorship Available).
• 3+ years of proposal writing GovCon or related experience.
• Experience writing government proposals (RFI, RFP, RFQ).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and proofreading.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, small-team environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently and with leadership and SMEs.
• Ability to commute and work on-site Monday-Friday at AET Federal's location.

Responsibilities

• Draft, edit, and refine proposal content for technical, management, and corporate sections.
• Tailor language to solicitation requirements and customer priorities.
• Ensure clarity, compliance, accuracy, and professional tone across sections.
• Draft RFI, RFP, and RFQ write-ups from start to submission.
• Incorporate feedback from leadership and SMEs.
• Track schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
• Coordinate inputs from internal contributors and maintain version control.
• Develop and maintain compliance matrices and checklists.
• Organize proposal files, templates, and content libraries.
• Perform quality control checks for grammar, formatting, and completeness.
• Identify compliance gaps or risks and flag them to leadership.
• Support templates, boilerplate materials, and process improvements for a small team.
