Job summary

Cadence Design Systems seeks a Government Contracts Manager to oversee U.S. Government-funded contracts across software, hardware, IP, and design services. The role coordinates contract functions, supports proposals, mitigates risk, and serves as a liaison among legal, sales, finance, programs, and contracting officers.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in government contracts, strong FAR/DFARS knowledge, exceptional communication skills, and U.S. person status.

Qualifications

• Experience managing government contracts and large-scale proposals.
• Deep knowledge of FAR/DFARS and data rights.
• Strong communication, written and verbal, across multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to balance priorities and manage several complex deals simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full lifecycle of U.S. Government-funded contracts and subcontracts, from capture to closeout.
• Advise on FAR/DFARS compliance and agency supplements, ensuring policy alignment.
• Support proposal development, review solicitations, flag problematic terms, and prepare exceptions/clarifications.
• Assist legal with contract negotiations for primes, subcontracts and related agreements.
• Coordinate with legal, sales, finance, programs, and other stakeholders to align terms with business goals.
