Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Software Engineer for GovCloud. You will join Public Cloud engineering to design, develop, and operate large-scale backend systems with a strong emphasis on concurrency, reliability, and security.

The role requires advanced prompt engineering and experience with AI-driven toolchains to push the boundaries of AI-enabled software. You will work across clustered data centers, implement infrastructure-as-code, and contribute to production-grade services used by government

Qualifications

3+ years backend software development experience.
Deep knowledge of programming in Java, Golang, Python, or Ruby.
Experience owning and operating multiple instances of a critical service.
Experience with Agile development methodology and Test Driven Development.
Experience with infrastructure services including monitoring, alerting, logging, and reporting.
Experience with distributed database systems and PostgreSQL is a plus.
AI-first engineering approach and using AI tools in development workflows.

Responsibilities

Deliver cloud infrastructure automation tools and validation platforms on public cloud platforms.
Design, develop, debug, and operate resilient distributed systems across data centers.
Build production-grade software with AI as a core development toolchain.
Contribute to open source technology and infrastructure-as-code solutions.
Write microservices on Kubernetes, Docker, and Mesos.
Design AI-integrated systems and maintain system context for reliability.
Critically evaluate code for correctness, security, and performance.
Participate in on-call rotations to keep services available.
